Matt covered it a bit because yeah Carnell notably struggled with teams in mid/low blocks with 5 in the back. It’s definitely a point we want to see, and a way CITY can take away Carnell’s high press/get in behind direct approach.

Yes and almost always do. The formation is more how they line up defensively in their ‘rest defense’ and how they might start their possession based attacks. It’s very fluid in the attacking third though.
