If you skip The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, you don’t get to “review” The Return of the King. It makes no sense to do so.

FYI people not in the US dont count in the rating but count in the buy rate. Also, correct me if I’m wrong but the Nelson are an estimate not an exact number of viewers

True. The u.s Nielsen ratings are an average that is extrapolated from around 20k Nielsen "families". Yet people talk about them as if every single person watching is being counted

While all this is true, more people watch the PPV than subscribe to cable services. This may change once Max is involved, but I personally know many diehard AEW fans who only catch clips and wrap-ups because they can't watch.

Yes because I can’t subscribe to tbs in the uk but me buying the PPV counts in the buy rate. If I watch live on triller, I don’t count in the ratings.

Good perspectives. I won't even claim to know how these numbers work. Still, 100% of promotions have more people who watch big events and not all the weekly programming. You don't need numbers to prove that, it's just always been reality. People tune in for the playoffs and not the regular season.
