Technically Sesame Street was picked up rather than renewed. It’s also another victim of HBO’s cost cutting measures, so I’m glad it has a new home.

The promise of streaming sites like Netflix and Hulu was non-mainstream creators would get a chance to have their work be seen. Shows like The OA showed what could happen when that freedom was allowed to blossom. COVID and greed destroyed that & I'll forever be sad about it
