Covid is definitely not over in America & around the world. It is both killing people and disabling them.

It is drastically impacting lifespan and quality of life.

It may be too late when our leaders realize this fact.

Covid policy makers had ample studies & evidence that Covid is airborne since 2020

They cleaned the air for THEMSELVES

To be as clear as possible: this of course isn't a primary cause of the cuts nor is it blaming our community for them. It's a simple point: the words we use matter. HHS uses the notion that we're "past" COVID as a justification for the cuts. So, let's not (unwittingly) contribute to that impression.

As with climate etc. Too many contrarians platformed, too many opportunists willing to cosy to power for career advancement. Many ognus saw this for what it was, an attempt to make the field irrelevant to policy priorities. But wishful thinking etc
