I mean, you can find Cicero, and Cato the Elder complaining about Kids These Days in the first century BCE. I’m sure you can find Greek sources 1,000 years earlier.
There have been studies for years, kids raised with strong boundaries in the home feel more protected, loved, and have a higher appreciation of others.
After listening to some of our teachers, they deserve combat pay or a blanket pardon.
Watched a wobbly toddler repeatedly approach a wood-burning stove hands forward while her mom, deep in conversation, occasionally said "Don't do that sweetie" while I kept getting up to pull the kid away.
I'd rather see a kid that young get a smacked hand & a firm "NO!" than 2nd or 3rd degree burns
With everyone frantically trying to attract followers on social media, adult messages of kids today need more discipline is being interpreted by those on social media as kids today need more disciples.
It's interesting how throughout time, so many adults have been eager to physically harm children in the same of "discipline". So many of them mention spanking/beating/licking. Truly gross.
