Today is the Feast of Blessed Franz Jägerstätter, who refused to take an oath of loyalty to Hitler and was martyred. He once said, "If the Church stays silent in the face of what is happening, what difference would it make if no church were ever opened again?" He was beheaded on 9th August 1943.
