...curious... it's easier to see if I put my face right up to the screen...? Why would...
...oh wait... I see what's going on now... you chose a difference in depth between the front and back which matches up TOO precisely with the size of the pattern... THAT'S why it's so hard to focus on! :P
This is the first magic eye I've seen that I haven't been able to do! I can get the inverted version by crossing my eyes, but the standard method is impossible for me.
I still got it, was easy enough to see the picture. Would love you to cover something to do with Magic Eye in video (I'd settle for a LGR Blerbs too :))
Ohhhhhhhhhhh... I see what you did wrong and why it looked a little wonky when I finally got my eyes to focus on it!
OK, so, for this to work right as a magic eye image, you need to change the shading on the edges of the LGR letters to fade from white to black with distance, not with light! :B
...and I just spent a few minutes doing it slightly better though it's still really rough. (I noticed the fade effect I tried to whip up super-quick in the first attempt was exponential, not linear.)
This just helped me learn. Basically, defocus your eyes until the image looks three dimensional. The link below goes into more details with a guide and practice.
After much eye straining and taking my brain back to the 90’s 😅, it says LGR, with the letters reflected behind the ones at the front.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😁
was I the only person that crossed their eyes for fun as a kid? seeing double was always hilarious when I was little, and then these exploded in the 90s and I thought they were absolutely effortless to see.
I get that its unintuitive but I've never quite understood how it is so impossible for some!
Is that ever cool. It's like a 2 stage one. At first it was like I was looking into a deep box with LGR written in the back but when you focus on the letters they resolve themselves to stand out, out front alone. 👍
I've always had an easy time with these, probably because I would always casually let my eyes go out of focus just out of boredom in class, so it's a muscle I've practiced a lot.
People always say "Cross your eyes!" But NO! You want the opposite, you want deep focus like you're looking through it.

...also, it's your "LGR" initials... I DID get it eventually but that was HARD... >_<

it's neat how if you use one technique on an image made for the other, you still get the 3D image just with inverted depth though

I always clearly see the edges and depth, but can't combine what I see as a whole.
I'm one of the blind men with the elephant.
I can move my eyes so the textures overlap, I can see *something* in there, but I can never make out what it is =C
Because I am getting big nostalgic KidPix vibes from that 😅
(I just now noticed these don’t work for my 49-year-old eyes on a small mobile device)
