I busted my ankle this weekend and had to go to hospital. I didn’t have that gut wrenching fear or have to second guess my decision to go to hospital. It must be so tough for Americans to live that every day.

Ouch. Hope it wasn’t too bad a break, and that you’re mobile with crutches. That’s going to cut your capers for a few weeks ☹️.
And yes, I absolutely agree re: the cost of U.S. healthcare. How on Earth do people manage? I recently had free DEXA scans on my hips and knees. In the U.S. up to $1319. 😳
I can’t begin to imagine what it must be like to live in the U.S. and need medical care. I have a few health issues. The NHS covers them all. In the States? I wouldn’t have made it past childhood.
So many people over there must live in absolute despair.

I see a lot of my American friends have Go Fund Me’s and it breaks my heart for them.
