Nigel Farage has been making some big populist promises.
But behind the soundbites lies not only a financial black hole, but tells us a lot about the future he sees for Britain:
Let’s take a closer look

Populists usually do come up with “popular” policies - the clue’s in the name!👍🏼
Where his plans spectacularly fall apart is on the other side of the balance sheet.

But Farage’s fudging is not only on a Truss scale of financial literacy but also on a Truss scale of delusion.
With a sprinkling of spiteful nastiness…

With cuts like these:
📌Scrapping net zero
📌Ending asylum hotels
📌Axing “DEI” roles
Let’s unpack them financially and morally…

Farage says net-zero costs the UK £45bn a year based on an IFS report.
But he apparently failed to read that most of that figure is PRIVATE investment, not public spending!
Scrapping it won’t “save” us money.

His ideological opposition to tackling climate change has nothing to do with finances or the economy
I’ll let others speculate on why he’s so wedded to fossil fuels🤔

Why don't we hear from the Lib Dems or Greens?
Where are their voices?
I'm sick of Farage & co.
But unfortunately for me, Twitter is where I get my material to write about! 😂😂
Can't even imagine the sort of people who are still on there, airing their conspiracies & stupidity for the whole world to read.
I left a while ago & presume it's even worse now.
It's what the MSM should be doing for us - but isn't.
So frustrating.
