Honestly, I treat it all as a hostile encounter to begin with, fully prepared to lie I much as I need. I find that helps stall any amount of feeling bad on my part

Even when its working well, looking for a job is like trying out for a solo in a song. Sure, skill matters, but at the end of the day its not the objectively best candidate that gets the part. It's the best fit.

You won't be chosen for every solo because you aren't everything.
