Im quite sure they do who will ever get them to understand that prices have gone up all over the world after covid, and to rather ask where’s the money going
Here in Bellingham Washington, I paid $3.29 per gallon. Eggs are $2.29 per dozen. Prices were obnoxious during the pandemic, but have very noticeably stabilized.
I’m not a troll. Prices will go down eventually I hope. For now I don’t drive that much. Fortunately I’m retired. When I was working I drove from South Bay to San Francisco every day!
I can attest to this. I live in Oregon. My gas this week was 2.89 a gallon. That was after 90 cents a gallon in rewards. I swear they keep the prices high here on purpose.
The billionaires that made record profits off the price gouging they did to get Trump elected are laughing their asses off at the morons who thought prices would come back down.
Yes. If you conveniently forget what the price of eggs and gas was before, then you can confidently claim that they're cheaper. Cheaper than what? Who knows?
They truly still do. Had a group of regulars in here talking about how they can’t wait for it to out the tariffs in so prices go down… they of course think I have no clue what a tariff is 🙄
Yeah and I’m afraid they’re going to ride the coat tails of Bidens admin and use that as collateral for next election. These people have no clue how to use their brains other than Neanderthal tasks.
Yes they do.
Way too many people in our country operate on what I call "magic thinking", that things will just magically work out without actually trying to address underlying issues and problems.
Wait until Trump and Elon empty out their pocketbooks and suddenly memaw isn't getting Vicodin anymore her Medicare and Medicaid got cut and now she's got to come and live in the spare bedroom..
Coming out of covid 4 years ago, the economy did tank for numerous reasons globally, not because of Biden, he is bringing us out of it, it doesn’t happen overnight people, ppl like like to blame one person instead of looking at the whole picture!
adjusted for inflation gas is pretty much the same price It was in the 1970s. It blows my mind that financial education is only available for people wanting to rip off other people. Jamie Dimon, you there?

The US imports Eggs primarily from Canada ($43.8M), UK ($26.8M), Netherlands ($14.5M), Germany ($8.67M), and China ($6.23M). 2021-2022, Canada ($8.19M), Netherlands ($7.01M), and Germany ($6.8M) were the fastest-growing import markets for eggs in the United States.
A local bar is closing because of "America's poor work ethic." The local barflies are begging the owner to keep it open for a few more months "because the economy will get better when Trump takes office."

It's cute how y'all haven't figured out that all these mega corporations that suddenly raised prices in 2021 and all monetarily supported trump are working together. Super cute.
Unfortunately, yes they do think that. And they also think getting rid of illegal immigrants will also mean lower food costs when it will be the exact opposite.
They are banking on it...LOL
Meanwhile, many who already depend on the Affordable Care Act are having buyer's remorse because they did not know that is is also called Obamacare...Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...
Guess they believe that won't matter. They will get those food boxes as soon as they no longer have a job because the recession will be in full swing. Won't need gas either because they won't have anywhere to go.
This is the kind of liberal smugness that got him elected.
People are poor with little sense of agency. The establishment has left them behind. While I don't agree with election results people care far more about the price of eggs and gas than other arbitrary culture war issues.
I hear you, and I don’t think that’s a bad idea, but given the evidence from last time, facts and reality clearly matter for *nothing* to these people.
Yes, I encountered a man at the grocery store shopping for orange juice. He said he couldn’t wait for prices to go down under the next president. I said don’t be so sure!
Ask in a year and they'll say that prices have gone down. If you then show them today's prices (I'll bet, lower than they will be in a year) they'll say you're lying.
They lie to themselves as easily as they lie to everyone.
If the petroleum and grocery corps were price gouging to both increase profits and influence low information voters there is the hope by unsmart people that they've done what they were told and that, yes, they should get cheaper eggs and gas. Spoilers: these same companies have no incentive to do so

And they will simply move the Whiner Titty Baby goalpost.

I drive a diesel Sprinter van.
Just filled up yesterday.

Trolls be trolling.
That doesn’t count
4.29 gallon.🤷🏻♀️
The fact is the fascists gaslit enough rubes into believing we are living through Weimar level hyperinflation, justifying their means and ends.
After they deport the immigrants.
After the government employees are all unemployed.
They forgot that the revolution was sparked by tariffs... and then they voted for them.
Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.
This is why it pays to know history. Knowledge ensures you cannot be tricked as easily as others.
"ERMAGHERD! THE PRICE OF EGGS!!!"
... So come on, gimme an answer already. 😤
Way too many people in our country operate on what I call "magic thinking", that things will just magically work out without actually trying to address underlying issues and problems.
It would have been the least he could have done!
of eggs did-WTF

The hopium is flowing over on that side!
It will magically happen in January 🙄🤦🏼♀️

Not everyone is a news junky.
A lot of people leave the room rather than listen to people arguing.
Education is part of the resistance.
People are poor with little sense of agency. The establishment has left them behind. While I don't agree with election results people care far more about the price of eggs and gas than other arbitrary culture war issues.
If Trump says "the price of eggs will go down", that's enough for them.
See, for example, “everything was great four years ago!”
They lie to themselves as easily as they lie to everyone.
yes they do
