I find it amusing when politicians focus on “when Social Security will run out of money”. All of these other budget areas run a deficit every year with cumulative debt of $36T. Social Security has generated NO DEBT to date. NONE!

No debt, but it is currently running a deficit. They are eating into the SSA investments to pay current benefits. Those investments are expected to run out by 2035 based on revenue/benefit projections. When they run out, SS benefits will be reduced by about 17% unless more funding is found.
Yes, and easily fixed by not limiting the payroll tax on higher earners or other small adjustments. It has arguably been the most fiscally responsible part of our federal budget. Name another part of the budget where we have lived within our means to this extent. No debt. None.
Coincidentally, there's at least that much money sitting in off-shore bank accounts doing absolutely nothing. I wonder where it all came from 🤔 I'm sure it came from hard work, and whoever put it there deserves it. lol
