BLR, my kids-on-bikes novel, is set in Colorado Springs, where I lived at the end of the 1980s and start of the 1990s. But I’ve been playing fast and loose with the town’s geography. At this point, I’m considering changing it to a fictional town, as in Super 8 and Stranger Things.
