There was also the report in the divorce papers that he raped her because the doctor she recommended gave him shitty hair plugs or something. I guess he didn't feel like raping the doctor was as fair as raping the wife.

Hey now they made a policy where they ask you if you feel safe at home during your annual well woman exam. No they do not ask your spouse to step out of the room for that question. Why would they?

Domestic Violence isn’t real to the police, because in reality they are the aggressors. The government has had corrupt as fuck departments for people to protect us, who actually don’t protect us and break the law multiple times a day. I know it’s a real issue. But tyrannical pigs patrol the streets.
The laws do recognize it - enforcement of these laws is the problem. When restraining orders are down-played or ignored or refused altogether, when the cops "don't see" the abuse, when no one reports the screaming and bruises, the abuser is emboldened to continue, to go further.

I'm not sure - only about 1% of households are same sex couples (but then, IPV does not happen exclusively among cohabitators). I would guess the chance of being killed by her spouse is lower for lesbian - but the chance of being killed by an immigrant is vanishingly small

There has been a glaring lack of strategy in recognition of no standardized model that accurately or actually tracks this information and then there’s the disparity of the racial bias that uses arresting people as equal. The data available doesn’t differentiate between racial ethnicity in any data.
My spouse watches True Crime 24/7 and just said this same thing the other day. Most of the time the killer is someone the victim knows, not some boogeyman.
