Aside from the obvious, is there any real benefit to hiding the list? Why would they want to hide the list in the first place? Wouldn’t that invite more questions and/or scrutiny?
Gov. Lee lobbied against making the list public in 2024 and the Senate supported him. The House insisted on a modicum of transparency--I cannot think of a benefit to not keeping the list public.
