I’ve been organizing in rural areas since the first Trump administration. Rural Dems can make the difference in races at the top of the ticket.
Republicans have all of the electorate they’re ever going to have. Organize to turn out 5% to 10% more Dems in rural spaces. Watch what happens…

I'm independent, no longer a Dem, but willing to work with anyone to get out the liberal vote.
I'd like to see ALL parties abolished, along with the Electoral College, but I realize the complexities of that.
Have you met Jess Piper?
Y'all are both working to engage rural Dems!
We cannot paint rural people and Republican voters with such a broad brush.
Republican leaders are deplorable, but when we look down on rural voters, we reinforce the liberal, snobbish, out-of-touch stereotype.

Tuesday 12/3 7PM EST with Senator Gillibrand. President Biden must not leave office without making the call to the archivist & telling her to do her job & publish the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment

I'm a former city dweller who moved to Western Maine recently.
Any advice for how I should get started?
You are a fantastic communicator.
Happy to see you here.🙏
It blows my mind how anyone could have just not bothered given what we're up against.

To illustrate my point, I’d like to use an example from the 1990s that I wrote my thesis on - welfare reform.
The ironic thing was that there was *massive* public support for measures to end child poverty. Instead of building a consensus amongst policy makers that reflected what the public wanted, Congress just abolished
#Iowa
There is nothing 'radical' being campaigned on by Dems and thst is mot why they lost
The only 'radicals' I see are telling us all thst trans people, sluts snd heathen sre the issued
I'm 🔵 and if we want the rural vote, than stop trying to take away our jobs in the name of environmentalism where that environmental damage is just moved offshore.

Liberal work.
Elections are less about Republicans winning -- and more about Democrats forfeiting.
These people are my #1 concern in the near term - poorly understood and much bigger than Rep voter bloc in areas I serve.
This turned out not to be correct in 2024, as Trump peeled off male black and Hispanic voters
Presence on a.m. radio is key to turning rural areas blue, & I can explain why:
I worked on the road in rural America for 17 years & when I'd get to the end of my 100's of CD's, I'd *try* to listen to a.m. radio. 1/
Move 'em out (crooked politicians)

You’re one of my favorite follows!
Voting here for the first time was awful! They were handing out Republican Voting charts IN THE LINE! Trump signs along the sidewalk while you waited!
HELP!
In her View From Rural Missouri newsletter, Jess Piper cited foolishness in her own state to defend the necessity of U.S. Department of Education oversight: “I am a witness to the witless.”
Not sure if anyone has been to a small town lately, but they are hanging on for dear life.

I have always stood for justice and equality
The rural votes could bring that back.

We need the workers. I welcome those who come through the proper process.
When my ancestors immigrated here, all they had to do was show up. (And be white.)
I want to think not but TFG wasn’t above it the last go round in 2020 so why wouldn’t he do it in 2024?
Check what will be on the ballot before you go. Many amendments are back door taxes or funneling money to the wealthy.
I do support organizing in rural areas--I would just caution against believing Ds are already at bottom here.
Followed you and supported you. Glad you are continuing your fight to make a difference ‼️💫💥💙
If the mainstream democracy-oriented media refuse to sustain what’s left of the facts-based universe, Maga will continue to grow and expand their reach, I reckon.
Run For Something and Contest Every Race are two off the top of my head.
They offer training and other assistance.
Often the only requirement is to live there, and care.
A lot of people like that now...
This is the number of votes in 3 contested districts that would have given Democrats control of the House in 25'.
Let that sink in, then someone tell me voting doesn't matter
Thank you!

I am not willing to run, but I will happily support rural progressive candidates!
You actually get nasty letters in the mail because you're a registered Dem there? That's terrible. Ridiculous.
What is the reason for us to assert that Republicans have all of the electorate they're going to have?
I'm guessing conservative propaganda outlets dominate.
Can you acquire those?
Also: loss of local press.
When all you have is “local” news from a major market 2+ hours away or cable news, people watch cable “news.”
No one covers their circumstances and connects it to policy.
I have rural relatives. It would be fantastic to mobilize people.
I am so sick of this shit.
Otherwise how did Whitman and Christie get elected governor?
Do this and you overcome the rural red vote for all time.
But I'm not kidding, if we build and expand blue towns, we override the whacky red rurals forever.
Really appreciate your dedication to democracy, decency, and the defense of core human rights.
