I’m Missouri by birth but live in Iowa. I’m on the fence. The Missouri landscape is gorgeous. Iowa has Decorah, and the Driftless area. But Missouri has more snakes. 🐍 Both are run by horrid politicians.
I'm from Illinois, but I graduated from Mizzou in '01. I have such affection for the state, but it breaks my heart how much its changed in the last 20 years. It was a swing state when I graduated!
Connecticut - They have a much lower percentage of right wingnut crazies in their population than Missouri, but the state is so small in area it's impossible to avoid running into them.
As a Missourian, I vote Mississippi. Really the entire Bible belt. Those folks have given us pro-slavers, the confederates, and a long line of conservative duckwads that uphold those same sentiments today.
I mean, Indiana is right there with our 20 year GOP super majority. Somehow it's all the mayor of Indy's fault🙃 They all come here though for their nights out.
I feel like there are a lot of Democrats, especially in the cities. Here in rural areas most keep pretty quiet, wisely as I received lots of verbal abuse just wearing my Harris Tshirt. I think the question is how do we get these Democrats to vote? Instead of seeing it as a lost cause.
I personally wouldn't pick Missouri. However, if we were picking cities instead of states, I might nominate St. Louis. The city can't seem to get out of its own way. Sad, because the city has so much unrealized potential.
My great great grandfather surveyed Texas for the original Anglo settlers. My husbands fought and died at the Alamo. We both think the terrible politicians and education system in Texas needs to go.
1 Missourian dies an hour of tobacco related illnesses. Missouri has the lowest tobacco tax. .17 a pkg in US thanks to 22 yr Republican majority + lobbyists who feed them. MO Republican legislature 49th in funding smoking cessation programs in MO at.50 a person US. Pure evil. I vote for Missouri
I think I'd pick South Carolina. I absolutely love Charleston, but the fact that somewhere so beautiful is that politically ass backwards is a stain on how gorgeous it is.
I’m thinking more like N or S Dakota. I liked living in MO & KS but it was the KC metro so it was kind of like NOT living in MO or KS culturally, politically etc. If MO keeps it up politically, I could see KC metro leave for KS & STL leave for IL if they could.
I was born and raised in Alabama. After 30+ years in the military and working for the Dept of Defense, I retired to Alabama. I am opposed to just about everything the state's ruling party stand for and yet, I will never live anywhere else.

Love, Iowa.
I’d totally pick Oklahoma tho..
😌
Its governance leaves much to be desired.
Mind you, if the New Madrid fault slips I’ll probably be one of the first to die. Old house…
Dark horse pick would be Wyoming if it existed.
Kansas.
🤪🤪🤪
Democrats are extinct.
