I do but I don’t believe in guns. I lived in a country with guns and I live in a country where guns were banned since a school shooting in 1996 … differences are quite significant. Last school shooting in 1996 🙄
What is so difficult to simply lock them up. Gun safes are everywhere and quite affordable. Amazon will deliver one to your door. Zero excuse for not keeping them all locked up.
You speak the truth. If it wasn't the truth, it would be legal for children to buy and own guns. If it was legal for a child to buy a gun, it would not be negligence in the part of an adult, since everything would be legal...
Realizing just now that the loaded guns my dad kept lying around the house were Kind of a Bad Idea, as was the ammo in the change jars. We lived in a large coastal city.
Everybody thinks they are the good guy with the gun and a responsible gun owner… until they are not. I will let people continue to misinterpret the second amendment, I just want some legitimate checks and balances on who gets to own them.
Absolutely true. As the child of an owner, and as an owner with kids, if you think they don't know your passwords, or where the "marital aids" are or how to access your firearms, the only person your fooling is you. If you have firearms in the house, they MUST BE LOCKED. AND 1 KEY ON YOU 24/7.
I lost my dear cousin to sui by her stepfather's gun, on her 16th birthday. Instead of taking responsibility, her Mormon mother blamed Beck's music - and no, I'm not kidding.
I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost a couple friends to firearms outside service. Most people who die by guns, kill themselves. This is a truth many places have yet to come to terms with.
Beck...🙄 Sounds like emotional blocking of reality. I get it. Weapons ARE emotional. The US gun debate (and here in Canada, TBH) IS emotional - logic ain't allowed to the party. I own some and I understand this, and feel the same feels. BUT public safety comes before ownership of dangerous tec.
My Mormon aunt really thought Beck, who sang "soy un perdedor, I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me" was more culpable than her toxic home and unlocked guns, or my cousin's drug problem
Also -firearms must be treated with absolute respect at all times. Teach your children when old enough how lethal they are and do not glorify them. They are tools. More dangerous than a chainsaw. If you don't think your kid has the temperment/maturity to run a saw safely, do not let them near guns.
Every single child shot down in our schools was murdered by an AMERICAN GUN OWNER. Not a SINGLE one of the slaughtered were shot by a non-gun owner. GUNS DON’T KILL OUR CHILDREN, AMERICAN GUN OWNERS DO.
Universal, national background checks–no exceptions–with a fully populated, real-time updated database to check against. Red flag laws. Owners insurance. Penalties for unsecured guns. Certain classes of arms & ammo stored in and used at gun clubs only, never at home or in public.

Love your courage.
Where is the Republican outrage?
My absolute & unconditional Love for my child & grandchild outweighs any desire for Things
The only people taking liberty and freedom away are the ones endangering their own children
This, AND common sense gun reform.
We need both right NOW.
