I think it's worth taking a look at who's running these charter schools. I've heard that there is a charter school in the Kansas City area that is owned and operated by a Turkish company. I want to know if there is any truth to that. First class education from Turkey? I don't think so.

Checking the Missouri DESE website and it says " no foreign entity" owns schools in Missouri. I'll have to ask my friend why she thought she was teaching under a Turkish company there. Hmmm

My sister lived in MO her whole life, poor thing. She's dumb as rocks. Went to Lynnwood uni, which has a LARGE population of yt students from South Africa. They told her about the apartheid where they lived, so CLEARLY history is wrong. MO edu system is working exactly as intended.

I used to teach 4-5 yo. Sunday school, and had a ball! Those kids were so cute, funny and utterly sincere. They are interested in everything. We each planted a bean in wet cotton and saw the sprout the next Sunday. It wowed them!

Every time I think of moving to MO to be with my aging parents I am reminded that I can’t afford the pay cut. We cannot reach all students if we can only tap teachers who don’t need the income.
