My elected officials respond to me. They're usually form letters, but they care enough to have systems set up in their office to explain their positions on the issues in question. Kudos to Senator Warner, Senator Kaine, and Representative Connolly of Virginia!

Showing up gets easier with practice and if you take a friend along.

Whether crafting a script to guide your call (for a recorded message), finding a local group that meets up virtually and in person, attending a march, rally or protest, joining a boycott or writing letters, plus VOTING.

People can show resistance by not supporting businesses that support trump.
It may be inconvenient, but so is losing our democracy.
Instead of whining and feeling defeated, fight back with your money.

I have been calling - as have my friends. I am wry frustrated with responses. My MALE husband called MO Congressman Graves about his sponsored HR722 Abortion Ban and got a 3 paragraph, very vague, kindly written letter. My FEMALE friend calls and gets a 6 para, nearly belligerent, forceful letter
