You know why they are targeting veterans right? They are civilian soldiers. We have 15.8 million veterans in the United States, which is 6.1% of the civilian population. We only have about 2.1 million active troops in the U.S.

My grandfather survived the attack on Pearl Harbor aboard the USS West Virginia. He went on to serve as a diver for the remainder of the war. My father served in the 173rd Airborne Rangers in Vietnam. If they were alive today they would be destroyed. They didn't fight just to see America fall.

Brother served 8 yrs in army. 01/01/21 died at 52. I am glad he didn’t live to see this. I had an uncle who was a sailor, 2 of his kids were sailors 4 yrs each. 1 used GI bill to go to college, other enlisted in army after 9/11 & served 2 tours. He unfriendly me during 1st T term.

I don't have military family but I was married to a former Marine and have always had deep respect for the people who have chosen to serve, putting their lives on the line for the rest of us. I have never felt that we give enough respect to the veterans.

My father-in-law served in WWII in the pacific theater, my husband’s had uncles who served & 2 died in the European theater.
EVERY branch of the service is in my family with one of my great granddads being a horse soldier. And we are proud of it.
