I think it’s interesting this notion that the MCU movies pre-endgame were all amazing and the fall off was severe. In reality about a quarter to a third were good/great and the rest were ok/meh/yuck. Since endgame I feel like we’ve seen about the same ratio but an expectation to outdo endgame no way

Totally, also just over flooding with characters. The Disney+ shows were too much other than Loki and Wanda Vision. But both lead nowhere because of all the schedule changes. I went through and felt like some shows could’ve been movies and other show shouldn’t have been made.

They've only had one movie that actually lost money at the box office. Otherwise even their worst films do just fine for themselves, and D&W made actual billions.

I don't have any interest in arguing about this on Bluesky because I love it here, so I will say that you may be right about current MCU still being ok financially since like you said, even their worst films do ok.

But they never intended to end with Endgame. Heck, Endgame sets up multiple other films, especially Guardians. This philosophy doesn't actually work when you apply it to Marvel.

Where do you propose it ends then? Or is the MCU destined to be the FIFA of Hollywood? NWH and Guardians 3 feel like the post credit movies of Phase 3 and are designed as movies that tie everything up, which leads to mine and many others' problems, being that the MCU didnt pause for a long time.

It was Lebanese forces that committed that massacre, while Israel was complicit in not stopping it and deserves the blame, the massacre itself was not Israeli forces. Sabra is also just a name of a neighborhood in Beirut, and the character was created two years before that event happened.
