Im not mad, I just dont get the point. Elden ring is a wonderful game, but the way its written as an experience relies heavily on it being a videogame.

I dont understand the need to convert this Ip into a movie. I get why they're doing it with expedition 33, but elden ring?

Elden Ring has tons of room to be expanded. If its bad, then that sucks. But there is literally always potential. I feel like people see "adaptation" and assume "bad" even though we get fantastic adaptations all the time. It's like disregarding an entire genre because of studio slop.

I've seen several adaptations, some very fun. I just don't see how you can adapt something like Elden Ring into a movie because of the nature of the game. That's all.

Idk i think bc there's so much left to be figured out by the player without cutscenes that you have an immense amount of wiggle room for an adaptation. Clair Obscur's already a cinematic game that tells its story complete from start to finish. Adapt it and you might get essentially the same plot.-

As an Alex Garland fan, this is VERY exciting. So long as it’s telling a story within that world and not the actual campaign of the game, I think we’re in for a good one.
