It was a very cheap sausage from what I remember.
Cut it in half to fry and it just turned in on itself ☹️

I honestly haven't pan fried a sausage since I was 14.

I bake them until 3/4 done, stash them in the fridge and then finish them in the deep fat fryer at 170^C - takes maybe 2 minutes - when I need to serve them.

Hassle yes but everything is.
