They specifically mentioned that they found multiple individuals who were controlling hundreds of accounts from the same devices. That's an approach that doesn't require AI mumbo jumbo to work

Imo what the vast majority of those cases are were people who had accounts taken down and made new ones- and some people who were using like one or two extra accounts to tag people from their main account (and doing that multiple times)
Now I think that probably the latter would run counter to most spam policies but the latter is just kind of a situation they’re creating by constantly banning people
I see that same kind of pattern within the Mutual Aid community on here, but no bans for "spamming" there. I feel like it's a fairly normal pattern of activity
Yeah there's this pretty nefarious treadmill that people get locked into, if their first account is banned for spam and they can't appeal any other accounts they try and make will be almost instantly flagged even before they can post 😑
