something very few people seem to internalize is that if a group of people from across the street come over to your house and threaten to kill you and steal your stuff and also squat in your hose with a gun in their hand, you're going to like your housemate who says "we should kill him" more

Apropos a follower of mine taking issue with Dyab Abou Jahjah's political history, I think you would generally be hard pressed to find someone who was born in 1970s Lebanon who did not, in the face of a two-decade occupation of one's homeland, in some form support the primary group resisting it.
