NEW - Texas Rep. Tom Oliverson has filed HB 3817, which would make it fraud to identify as a gender different from the one assigned at birth.

While it stands little chance of passing, it fits into a wider narrative that casts being trans as deceptive and fraudulent:

If every Dem voter (43%, nearly 5 mill voters, not counting their children) moved out of Texas, they would lose electoral votes. They have 40 from 31.3 mill people. They would lose 7+ electors to other states. If Dems in Texas want to win then move to a state where your vote would matter.
