Manufacturers would *never* think to attach a power cord for the outlets in the local market. No, they all make their stuff with only North American plugs. It’s a shame, really, for folks in that country (Europe) to have to have adapters on hand all the time.

Stick a fork in it; it's done. I would recommend cutting the power at the circuit breaker first. It might still be live because it might not have gotten tripped when the fork got stuck in. ⚡😵 Plus, then you can reuse fork to check if the fool is still alive after you safely remove it. #SafetyFirst

The UK plug has won awards for safety and design. I'm amazed at the USA and Europe only having live and neutral and don't include an earth cable in the wiring. Seems a wee bit reckless to me.

Depending on the item you’re plugging in, it can have a plain two-prong plug, a polarized two-prong plug, and a grounded three-prong plug, and that’s just for the 110-120v “normal” stuff. Dryers and whatnot use a 240v outlet and there are at least two prong configurations that I can remember.

I hate to correct you, but nearly all European countries have grounded plugs and grounded outlets/sockets. However, they also have 2-ping plugs for appliances that are double insulated and don’t need an earth.
