It's our job to take in the moment, it's his to use this additional time wisely. A narrative is set that we are incomplete and there is room to develop. That brings pressure to push on, but Slot would surely have placed that pressure on himself anyway. He knows the target stretched beyond 24/25.

A LB, DM (might not happen) and 9 to the current 11 elevate things, but we can and should go further.

I think so too, and I don't think he says that without some early movement already locked in. I think he'll want to maximise the advantage he's going to have over those teams involved in the CWC by having the main pieces in early.

LB and CB seem nailed on. CF and RB depending on outgoings.

I also think a curve ball will be thrown with midfield, in that we'll shuffle what we have and play them in different ways. That may allow us to look at an attacking midfield rather than rotation for Grav. I think we could see both Curtis and Dom deployed deeper to allow for it.

I think people think that’s harsh on Grav, but without Trent I have massive fears over ball progression.

This is where I see things slightly differently. My concern is the drop off in our ability to both progress the ball and cover space off ball without Dom in midfield. Slot hasn't trusted anyone other than Curtis (sparingly) with that role and I think he would prefer having one more runner.
