A wise friend just told me not to take these times for granted and he’s right. I would never as lived through the barren times, where I hoped players like Voronin and Jovanovic would succeed, but those a little newer do savour these moments, they’re all too fleeting in life.

Even as a newer fan (1st game Sep 2017 a 5-0 loss to City), we have had some tough tough moments: losing 2 CL finals, coming in 2nd with 97pts but this post hit me hard. I can’t and don’t want to imagine the hard times that happened before me that were even harder to take, like having a shite team.

That's part of supporting the club you love. Even when there looks like no hope, and the moments Rory and I are referring to are linked to a time when the club's very existence was in jeopardy don't forget, we can find our way back to believing again. Collectively, in solidarity with each other.

I was at that game, it was only my third game at Anfield, at thought how amazing it will be to see that again if not the season after then at least a couple years after.

Unfortunately, I never got the chance to see our dominance in the 70s and 80s, but to rediscover what felt lost and to live through a time where the club acts on the pitch as it should is a privilege that none of us should take for granted.
