…Has anyone else written a report or opinion piece on what Mr Freeman said and on the Qs he faced? 👀 Still waiting for something from local media. Sadly the once-vibrant SocMed local democracy scene has all but vanished as people moved on. 😢

Having just watched the video, my thought posted in reply to another message about the meeting yesterday applies even more. There are so many (opposing?) views/thoughts in Cambridge, from some very well versed/skilled people, with strong views for and against everything...?

This might be why ministers are creating a new development corporation. The GCP has been (IMHO) a failure overall & was broken from the start. Still no spades in ground on busways, & no solution to its big objective - last mile journeys into Cambridge blocked by traffic.

...making connections Q&As, and much like officers at local council levels (and MPs?) always seem to have a fine-tuned skill of doing. Questions that don't get definitive binding answers?

A "Happy Cambridge" seemed a _long_ way off, from the tone of the room I got from watching the video.

Either it’s too early in the process (eg not having defined geographical area) so lacks the content to give a firm answer, or the Qs which were on the policy principles are really for ministers to answer.
