Wow! Dreamland is one of the best albums to come out in the last 5 years, I strongly suggest checking it out. Heat Waves is great and probably like the 10th best song on the album. There's def no one genre that can describe this band

I think the term “alternative” throws people if they take it literally, as if the music is an alternative to regular pop or rock. But in 2025 I think alternative just means blended genres.

Not superstars “yet” but “Idles” & “Turnstile” are two legit big time rock bands (Turnstile is more hardcore/punk) but both are headlining in Europe & States. Grammy noms, ect
They’ve not had a #1 single but that’s cause the music isn’t for 15 sec TikTok clips which determines that now.
