Yesterday's need for brain laundry took us on a short hike-- partly on trail and partly on closed road--to Rocky Point on Lake McDonald. Snow level is really low here for this time of year. Hope that turns around.

You can still see silver tree trunks out of the picture to the left from the last Howe Ridge Fire. And now lots of lodgepole are growing up thick.
We have such low snow right now that I'm just hoping we don't have a big wildfire season.
Why do I really need to travel when my cousins take photos of the landscape that inspires them. Taking shots from their perspective that pleases them.
Interesting memories from there… I had to be rescued off of Lake McDonald. 🫣 A storm came in when I was kayaking and no matter how hard I paddled I wasn’t moving. I gained a deepened respect for lakes that day. 😁
I moved to Colorado a few years back. Worked and stayed a couple years there and I loved it; but I missed my kids and grandchildren back home…. So I moved back to south Louisiana.
I love the mountains though. 🏔️
