@chriswarcraft.bsky.social, so what is your verdict on Civ 7? I grabbed the deluxe edition and started playing last night. I'm digging the new features, but it's definitely a lot to get used to. Gonna run some more turns tonight hopefully.

I think it’s got a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of polish (it looks like there should be a 4th age, probably Information or Future, that isn’t even in the game yet, for example). In 2-3 major updates I see it being great.
From the limited bit I've seen, I'd agree, although to be fair, I haven't gotten out of the first age yet. I like the general concept, including the towns and the city growth aspect, but you're right that it needs a couple of things to make it better.
