You'd maybe give the onfield ref the benefit of the doubt for giving it but VAR giving it with the benefit of slow mo replays is totally inexcusable.
Though the VAR was Michael Oliver so you have to allow for that also
That’s not the rule though. Probably meant he was using that as a guide and couldn’t prove the contact wasn’t in the box as well. All I can think of because I’m sure Oliver knows the laws of the game
It's all dependent on which frame the human in control of VAR chooses to press pause. One frame earlier and it's clearly outside. This frame = just touching the white line.
