if you grew up with a village library card-catalog... you would understand.
After decades of ‘how long will this download take? Is someone else in the house trying to watch a video? Is this file too big?’, I finally have internet that Mostly Just Works.
The feature improvements over SMS helped move that category of app forward.
I love mobile phones and labtops (but)
Medical Tech
tech for elderly, disabled, caregivers to aid in life-functions & ease burden
cassette/record players, LPs
Orkut, early social media
clamshell phones w/ tactile buttons
earlier smartphones w/ utilitarian functions, w/o addictive apps
Love tech.. but...
As an editor, I very much prefer Track Changes or equivalent to pencils & post-it notes.
And I really do like how texting allows me to keep in touch with people near & far, because lots of my people are far.
Don't use Spotify et al at all.
I also love my wireless headphones. Noise canceling technology has been a gift.
