I removed FB and put bluesky on its place on my phone so that my habit of scrolling FB is replaced by Bluesky. I have always known that I was being sold to, but have never felt more like a product, instead of a person than I have in the last few days.
I haven't been quite as brave but after seeing his post about getting ready to celebrate yesterday, I'm seriously thinking about it and have spent my social media time here today.
Especially on FB where I have so many family connections that I never see. It's a nice way to connect with them. X is easier since I'm anonymous on there so don't have any familiar connections.
I reckon it has something to do with the owner of Twitter flying a Roman salute twice during the inauguration festivities. It was one dog whistle pitched too low too many for some holdouts, it seems.

Possibly, but then a day isn't an awful lot of time to make a change to your habits. There's also the new video feature luring people from the TikTok implosion, and it takes time for word-of-mouth to work its magic.
Well I'm here because of that! Also, my whole thing on twitter is just pure shit posting and getting into meaningless flame wars with the most odious of people, if they are actually people and not bots. I just thought "why am I still doing this to myself?" Et voilà, je suis ici maintenant 🤗💖
Oh that also explains why it’s gotten so spiky on here. I thought everyone was just (understandably) having an awful day but I think some people are definitely bringing those X vibes over here 😕
its a good thing there is decent moderation here and the ability to actually fully block people here. No forced algorithm so you dont get bullshit pused at you
