So that I can vote in the primary. I just can't decide if I would try to F with them by voting for the most ridiculas MAGA, or try to get actually reasonable, qualified candidates. Back in the 90's Rush Limbaugh suggested GOP register as Dem so they could skew our primaries.

I stay registered as a republican in Texas primarily so there’s less chance of them purging me from the voter rolls, even though I vote in every election from the bottom up.
I also vote in the republican primaries to vote against more extreme ballot measures like secession.

Nothing wrong with that either. I never vote republican in the general elections. My district is fairly safe blue so I only vote in dem primaries if there’s a race with a real challenger. We fight the same enemy on different fronts 🤘💙
