the MT7922 wifi card is in many recent Asus laptops and it's a terrible card
I think the only win will be for Apple, since these devices are now running on completely proprietary hardware, meaning once they EOL the device, it’s a brick.

separate chip? wonder what bus they will use. anything to have a more sane CPU/model driver interface would be great.
did some patents expire, or are they just going to license a ton?

It doesn't support DC-HSDPA (3.5G?), or mmWave 5G.
