Technically we could mitigate, adapt, preserve instead of pursue extinction, but society has chosen not to.
It will take collapse to change, but collapse will prevent action at the scale needed

Some of the living world is indeed doomed but not all and we must hold the line. We need to acknowledge the problems. We live in a highly distracted, under educated, consumption motivated, global neoliberal system. It's not just an "old farts" thing.

I'm 66 and have fought for conservation all my life. Every meeting about any topic on nature I go to is full of grey hair and wrinkles - no younger ones. Tree planting is mostly older ones . . . Murdoch and his kind are monsters but they're only part of the picture.
