1. In considering Jesus' dispute with the lawyer, always remember that these are inter-Jewish debates. It should not be taken as evidence that Christianity is superior to Judaism, or superseded it.

2. Likewise, don't take this post as implying that Christianity is superior to secularism or no faith. I think scripture provides *a* lens to understanding our current situation, and offer my interpretation for what it's worth. Other ways of seeing are equally valid.

3. Samaritans still exist! There are about 900 of them in two communities in Israel, and ironically, they still use Aramaic, Jesus' native tongue.
