I think many are used to the way the algo drives engagement and the parasocial environment that generates. Engagement doesn't drive reach here the same way. People actually have to be interested in what you post. You can't expand reach by trolling.

Half of what is addictive about the hellsite is the shitposting dunkfest wars, and the parasocial connections between accounts that arise from that. Here, people actually have to think your shit is funny or interesting enough to repost or it goes nowhere.
Like, prior to the nazification of Twitter, stuff like dunking on the chili lady, the wars between the parasocial cults of various twitch streamers, etc. drove day to day conversation. The closest things to that here I've seen have been Alf hog and dunking on Stancil.
I would be really curious to see how many, if any, large accounts on here like Katy or Juniper, aside from offline celebrity accounts, didn't initally build their following on Twitter by such activity. Maybe Fain?
