The app has back doors that provide the developers with complete control over your device, not just data mining from app use. You already can't use it on federal government issued devices if you work for the government.

I like Walter, but his take is biased, as TikTok pays the most for views.

If congress really cared about Americans privacy. They'd pass a data privacy act for all corporations. This is just political theater.

THAT'S the part. It's politically inconvenient, and puts the spread of information, instantly, in the hands of people without the filter or influence of government. They hate that.
