I'm pretty active. I like and repost and I reply. And I am conscientious about vetting and following back. But with over 4400 followers, many of my posts get nothing. Do people just collect followers so they can say they have 'em? That's not why I'm here.
I'm always eager to support others and share good content, but does anyone else run into this, I've been added to a few not so flattering lists for doing things like boosting people and reposting political content and trying to grow my followers should I be concerned. Feedback appreciated.
I believe if you block the person who put you on a list, you’ll be removed from said list. Hilariously, I was put on a list simply called, “nope”. 😂 I had a good laugh, smiled proudly, and then blocked them. You should do that. And then keep being you. 😄
And if you're still using Xitter too, you can get off there and bring your followers with you. Tell them you're coming here and shut down shortly afterwards.
Also crucial to help new users register. Consider telling your friends about Bluesky and show them how to create an account. Contact business, colleges, hospitals, etc and urge them to switch to Bluesky and demand they stop spending advertising money on Twitter.
People on BlueSky are pleasantly nice. The other day I was waiting at the DMV and scrolling. I tried to say Tommy Tubberville was dumber, but I wrote he was dimmer before correcting with “dummer.” I wasn’t chided once for my dumb mistake.

The only thing I would add @mcspocky.bsky.social is that it would be very helpful for newer accounts to add their own posts along with reposting.

Unlike twitter we don’t see how many views are on a post. Honestly, if somebody’s actually viewed the post, there should be some kind of recognition for that. I mean, we’re still having to talk about the fact that thousands of people will scroll through their feed and be unable to press the 🤍. 🙄
I am trying to be more diverse as well so I found a group of climate and ecological scientist that are doing some really cool work. So I've liked those maybe I should share that list? Also I'm hoping to find gardening advice. Any suggestions?

Instead of just relying on algorithms, go in and check that the result is the correct action.
