It's just plain not accurate, and the big problem is that it ends up conflating actual abolitionists with people who are just using the idea of 'abolition' as a broad construct, to both insiders and outsiders.
Like if you want to reorganize agencies of professionals dispensing local law enforcement in urban centres into something not called police, if you want to disestablish existing departments, sure, maybe not a bad idea.
But distinguish from the literal crank abolitionists some other way.
