Ironically, the choice to remain childless because I wanted to do whatever I want whenever I want has isolated me from most of my friends, who are now basically unable to ever hang out because they all have babies. I continue to text my friends for potential hangs who are parents to young children and I’d say there’s maybe a 10% success rate

A buddy told me that he was going to see Four Tet under the K bridge in Brooklyn on Saturday night and I just do not know how we could *ever* do something like that? We couldn't bring our kids, and we couldn't get a sitter for the 8 hours or whatever it would take to go up and see that.

I got my one friend to bring his two year old to a Somerset Patriots game the other night and it seemed like an awful experience for him. I hadn’t seen him since January. They ended up staying for four innings then left. He basically said give it like five more years then I’ll see you again.

Four innings is pretty good with a two-year old.
Sadly, my kids are five years older than that now and I'm still not sure they would last longer than four innings...
