It's lovely. I've never been one for drinking on St. Patrick's day. I like to stay in and watch the parade and get or make a mint milkshake at some point. And otherwise chill.
Congrats on the work you've done and continue to do. Have had a parent in recovery for a very long time he's a better person for it and has helped so many ppl get clean. Thank you!
Drink tea. The habits you cultivate today are a gift to your future self. I wish I could hear your language. My blood is Scottish and Irish. My brain has never heard the words spoken. When I read them… not even close, I’m sure.
I’m glad to know you’re in recovery. I had to quit a couple of years ago as well.
I’ve a friend who lives in Dublin and I wish he’d reconsider alcohol in his life as it’s giving the first signs that it’s not gonna end well if he doesn’t stop.
There’s so many of us! It’s a really tough one but we can’t make anyone see the problem they have to come to the realisation themselves and then we can be there to help and support
Yes. He’s the one who has to realize the problem. He’s already come to me in the past, asking about the AA, 12-step programs etc. We had a good talk the last time he was here. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Yaaay goood for us and it won’t always be like this. I know plenty of people in recovery who are in parades and able to celebrate, just get some more time behind us.
Also lol so legit it’s an absolute nightmare sober or not

Also… An American friend texted asking what their 22 year old should do in Dublin today. My first thought was “get the fuck out of Dublin” lol
