Yeah it’s that as well. It’s a number of things, I think hence why I said it’s complex. I do feel for our fellow Americans - I send you strength. Your children and grandchildren are lucky to have you - you will educate them well 🥰

That being said in my 57 years I've lived a fairly independent life. I've always been able to do what I wanted without a man. My mother was the first female railroad engineer for Burlington Northern in Vancouver WA in the mid 70's

3/ She DEMANDED they hire her. Teach her how to do it! Did she change the entire world ? No, but she changed mine. As a child I saw that I knew we could do it. We can't give up. We won't change the entire world but my 3 daughters and 7 granddaughters are watching. We might change theirs!
