I can get behind this, but to a point.
Look, we all know that facts and figures often don't matter in this, any pie chart or bar chart won't hit the same way.
Pushing how these things will directly affect THEM, their families, businesses, etc, might just be a solid "in"
I've noticed after talking to people about hard effects on them, that I can then expand it to the "3 degrees of separation" rule.
Homelessness, food insecurity, business ownership, LGBTQ, poverty, taxes. Name the subject.
Don't walk into these conversations thinking you're the one who'll convince them.
I also get the fear, fuck I'm terrified.
But the rule book doesn't matter to these folks, and "taking the high ground" got us in this mess.
Everyone needs to ask, if the normal has not worked so far, then how will it work later?
