I used to go to the forest nearby to pick some up for my mom. I doubt it's still a thing these days, but at the time French kids did this.
You can find eau de toilette with the fragrance in Grasse and it's quite lovely.
Gorgeous! My horse is named after Lily of the Valley (Muguet in French). It doesn't suit the grumpy baggage at all, but I have to grow it anyway (albeit in pots!).
They were my Momβs second favorite flower. There used to be scads of them in the lip garden on the side of my house but it seems there are less of them each year. The scent is still powerful and delightful, though.
They were my momβs favorite but I hadnβt ever planted any in my garden. The year after she passed, it was touching that they started growing and blooming all on their own in my back yard.π
This is a wonderful plant, but theyβre so evasive and poisonous to animals. I have them in the woods by my house, but thatβs where they have to stay so beautiful so deadly.
Unhappy because my Canna plant and my Lemon Tree died last Summer. My Water Service in Clark County wants us to conserve...I am not replacing any plants...
I had my younger neighbor help herself to my overflowing lilies of the valley yesterday. She took what she uprooted and planted them under her huge oak tree before I was out of bed this morning. Itβs good to have a gardener 40 years younger than me.
This was one of my favorite flowers when I was little, we had tons of them planted by our house. I would take one, take the flowers, and make them into a wedding bouquet for my Barbie.
My favourite flower. I was in France on this day in 2024 and was really touched by the tradition of giving a bunch of muguet to oneβs mother to celebrate her on 1st May.
